At Masjid Alberr, we believe supporting families includes helping parents understand the challenges their children face in an increasingly digital world.
We conducted a social media awareness lecture for parents focusing on children’s use of social media and the importance of keeping young people safe online.
The session helped raise awareness about some of the risks children may encounter through social media, including inappropriate content, excessive screen time, online bullying, interactions with strangers and the impact of social media on children’s behaviour and wellbeing.
Parents were encouraged to take an active role in their children’s digital lives, communicate openly with them and establish appropriate boundaries for safe and responsible use of technology.
This lecture forms part of Masjid Alberr’s wider commitment to education, family support and strengthening our local community.
Supporting our children means understanding the world they are growing up in and giving parents the knowledge they need to guide and protect them.
