التوعية بوسائل التواصل الاجتماعي للآباء في مسجد البر
At Masjid Alberr, we believe supporting families includes helping parents understand the challenges their children face in an increasingly digital world. We conducted a social media awareness lecture for parents focusing on children’s use of social media and the importance of keeping young people safe online. The session helped raise awareness about some of the risks children may encounter through social media, including inappropriate content, excessive screen time, online bullying, interactions with strangers and the impact of social media on children’s behaviour and wellbeing. Parents were encouraged to take an active role in their children’s digital lives, communicate openly with them and establish appropriate boundaries for safe and responsible use of technology. This lecture forms part of Masjid Alberr’s wider commitment to education, family support and strengthening our local community. Supporting our children means understanding the world they are growing up in and giving parents the knowledge they need to guide and protect them.

In July 2026, Masjid Alberr was honoured to welcome Dr Farhat Hashmi for a special educational lecture attended by members of our local community. The event provided an opportunity for attendees to benefit from Islamic knowledge, strengthen their faith and come together in an atmosphere of learning and reflection. Hosting educational lectures and visiting speakers is an important part of Masjid Alberr’s mission. We aim to make the Masjid not only a place of worship, but also a centre for education, personal development and community engagement. We were delighted to welcome Dr Farhat Hashmi and everyone who attended and contributed to making the event a success. We look forward to welcoming more scholars, educators and community speakers to Masjid Alberr in the future.
إفطار رمضان للاجئين في مسجد البر
During the blessed month of Ramadan, ALBERR Foundation UK, in collaboration with Nasr Blackburn, provided Iftar meals for refugees at Masjid Alberr. The initiative brought people together to break their fast in a welcoming and supportive environment, while providing freshly prepared meals to refugees and others in need within our local community. At ALBERR, we believe that supporting people in need begins at home. Ramadan is a special opportunity to share food, show compassion and ensure that refugees and vulnerable members of our community feel welcomed, valued and supported. We are grateful to Nasr Blackburn, our volunteers, donors and everyone who contributed to making this initiative possible. Together, we can make our communities more caring, welcoming and connected.

ALBERR Foundation UK was delighted to fund a special Eid al-Adha celebration for ladies and children, bringing families together to enjoy the happiness and spirit of Eid. The event was filled with joy, laughter and learning. Ladies and children took part in educational and general knowledge quizzes, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere for everyone. We provided pizza for attendees, while children received toys and sweets to make their Eid celebration even more special. At ALBERR, we believe supporting our community is not only about responding to hardship. It is also about bringing people together, strengthening community connections and creating happy memories for children and families. We were delighted to see the smiles on the children's faces and to share the joy of Eid with our local community.

As part of our commitment to supporting our local community, ALBERR Foundation UK was pleased to visit the Orthodontics Department at Royal Blackburn Hospital. During the visit, we had the opportunity to meet members of the department, learn more about their work and show our appreciation for the NHS professionals who care for patients in our community. ALBERR donated fans to the Orthodontics Department to help improve comfort for patients and staff and to make a practical contribution to the department. Our charitable work is not limited to international humanitarian projects. We believe strongly in supporting people and essential services here in the UK as well. We welcome opportunities to work alongside the NHS, local organisations and community services to identify areas where ALBERR can provide meaningful support. Small acts of kindness can make a difference. We are proud to support those who dedicate themselves to caring for others.

If you have clean, good-quality clothes that you no longer need, please consider donating them and helping us give them a new purpose. **Collection point:** Back garden of Masjid Alberr 200 Old Bank Lane Please send a £5 donation with your clothes to help us cover the costs associated with collecting, transporting and distributing the donated clothing. زيارة مؤسسة البر الإنسانية إلى أوغندا – يناير ٢٠٢٦
In January 2026, the ALBERR Foundation UK team travelled to Uganda as part of our commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and maintaining transparency and accountability in our international humanitarian work. During our visit, we travelled to three villages, meeting local families, children and community members and seeing first-hand the challenges faced by communities living in poverty. ### Visiting Our Previous Projects An important purpose of the trip was to inspect projects previously funded and delivered by ALBERR. Our team personally visited water wells and a mosque that ALBERR had previously built. This allowed us to see the projects in real life, assess their condition and use, and confirm that they were continuing to benefit the communities they were intended to serve. ### Supporting Families in Need We distributed hijabs to women and girls in the local communities and provided food to families in need. As part of our food programme, two cows were slaughtered and the meat was distributed to local families. We also distributed hot meals, giving vulnerable families and children access to freshly prepared food. ### Seeing the Need First-Hand The visit gave our team the opportunity to speak directly with local people and identify further needs in areas such as clean water, food, education, healthcare and community facilities. ### We Go. Wherever possible, we visit the communities, inspect completed projects, meet beneficiaries, assess new needs and document our work through photographs and videos so our donors can see the impact of their generosity.
زيارة مؤسسة البر إلى مصر – عيد الأضحى
During Eid al-Adha, the ALBERR Foundation UK team visited Egypt to personally take part in our humanitarian activities and meet families in need. As part of our Eid programme, we slaughtered one cow and distributed the meat to vulnerable families, helping them enjoy fresh meat during the blessed days of Eid. During the visit, we also distributed small financial grants to families facing financial hardship, providing flexible support towards their most urgent needs. In addition, our team distributed 94 kg of donated clothes to families in need, giving good-quality clothing directly to people who could benefit from it. The visit was also an important part of our commitment to transparency and accountability. By visiting the communities ourselves, we can see the needs first-hand, oversee our charitable activities and identify areas where further support is required.
