In January 2026, the ALBERR Foundation UK team travelled to Uganda as part of our commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and maintaining transparency and accountability in our international humanitarian work. During our visit, we travelled to three villages, meeting local families, children and community members and seeing first-hand the challenges faced by communities living in poverty. ### Visiting Our Previous Projects An important purpose of the trip was to inspect projects previously funded and delivered by ALBERR. Our team personally visited water wells and a mosque that ALBERR had previously built. This allowed us to see the projects in real life, assess their condition and use, and confirm that they were continuing to benefit the communities they were intended to serve. ### Supporting Families in Need We distributed hijabs to women and girls in the local communities and provided food to families in need. As part of our food programme, two cows were slaughtered and the meat was distributed to local families. We also distributed hot meals, giving vulnerable families and children access to freshly prepared food. ### Seeing the Need First-Hand The visit gave our team the opportunity to speak directly with local people and identify further needs in areas such as clean water, food, education, healthcare and community facilities. ### We Go. Wherever possible, we visit the communities, inspect completed projects, meet beneficiaries, assess new needs and document our work through photographs and videos so our donors can see the impact of their generosity.
