Gift Aid Explained
Learn how you can boost your donation by 25% at no extra cost to yourself — and fund the House of Allah.
What is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows ALBERR Charity Organisation to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations by the donor. This means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It won't cost you an extra penny.
Impact Example
When you tick Gift Aid...
By ticking Gift Aid, you allow us to reclaim 25p per £1 from HMRC — and 80% of that reclaim is dedicated to Masjid Alberr. It costs you nothing, yet it sustains our mosque for the entire community.
How does it work?
When you donate, simply tick the Gift Aid box on the checkout form and provide your full name and home address. We will then handle the claim with HMRC. It's that simple!
Am I eligible?
To qualify for Gift Aid, you must pay income tax or capital gains tax in the UK in that tax year that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all the charities you donate to will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year.
* Other taxes such as Council Tax and VAT do not count as Income Tax.
